Elder Prayer (6/5/2022)

Lord, we thank You that we can confess our sins to You and be forgiven because of the punishment that You took for us on the cross, and now live to pray for us as your beloved children. What an incredible standing You have given us to be called Children of the Living God!

We are thankful for the opportunities You have given us as a body of believers here at Grace Point to be a light in this community. Thank You for the wonderful opportunity we had on Friday night at the Family Fun Fest to interact with families in our community. Thank You for blessing us with wonderful weather for this event that has been planned for over several months, and thank You for the many volunteers who participated. I pray that You will bless this outreach effort and draw people to Yourself as a result.

We are thankful for the many ways You have blessed us over the years here at Grace Point and ask for Your continued blessing as we move forward with the vision that You have called us to in this region. We thank You for our elders, staff and many volunteers who serve You here in this place by serving others.

We pray for those here today or online who are suffering physically, emotionally, or financially and ask that they be encouraged by Your presence here today through Your Spirit and by others that they may come in contact with and see that they are loved and cared for. We pray specifically that You would heal the broken hearted and those who are experiencing illness.

We pray for those who are serving as missionaries around the world who are connected and supported by Grace Point that You would protect them and encourage them to have faith in their specific calling and that You help them to serve You well as they meet the needs of others and share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

We pray for our brothers and sisters in Lebanon at the church in Amchit and for Horizon Ministries as they work to meet the needs of others in their various communities. We are thankful You have allowed us to be partners with them in their ministry in a country that is hurting in so many ways, and yet we are humbled by their strong faith and reliance upon You. We also pray for the people of Ukraine who continue to suffer in the war and ask that You would grant wisdom and protection to believers there who are doing everything they can to meet the physical and spiritual needs of others. We ask that this war would end quickly.

And we pray for those families across our country that have lost children and loved ones as a result of recent incidents of senseless violence. We pray that is violence would cease and that we as a nation would experience a Spiritual Awakening and more people would come to faith in Christ as the ultimate solution to this crisis.

And finally, Lord, I pray for Dave this morning as he shares the message that You have laid on his heart. May your Spirit speak through him and may we be good listeners and doers of the Word he shares with us today.

We ask these things in the Mighty Name of Jesus our Savior, Amen!
