Elder Prayer (7/31/22)

Psalm 23 (ESV)

Our Gracious Heavenly Father,

We gather this morning to praise Your holy Name and honor You. We thank You for shepherding and caring for us and for providing for our needs. Thank You for the comfort and peace You provide — not the peace the world understands, but rather Your calm assurance in the midst of a storm. Thank You for Your saving grace and forgiveness of sin through the sacrifice and blood of You Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

No matter the circumstances we face, You have promised to be with us. We are not alone. You stand with us and comfort us.

We ask now that You be with those among us who are presently having difficult days: grieving the loss of a loved one, dealing with illness or facing a surgery, having financial worries, the loss of a job, marital or family issues. We pray to You and ask for solutions, provision and comfort for whatever the problem may be.

We thank You for the youth who returned from Harvey Cedars Bible Conference. Thank You for the week they enjoyed and for all of the leaders who chaperoned them.

We thank You for the Children’s Ministry and those who teach and volunteer to provide in that important area of ministry. We seek Your guidance for the start of the Special Needs Ministry. Please provide volunteers and resources.

Thank You for the safe return of Pastor Dave. Thank You for the work and dedication of the pastoral staff, as well as the entire staff of Grace Point.

We praise You, Father, for the love that You have poured out and continue to pour over us. We ask all of our requests in the matchless Name of the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. Amen.
