Elder Prayer (11/13/22)

Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; Your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord. How precious is Your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. They feast on the abundance of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your delights. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light do we see light. (Psalm 36:5-9)

Heavenly Father,

You are El-Shaddi, God Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth. You are our Provider, Jehovah-Jireh.

We come to You this morning confessing our sin and seeking Your forgiveness. Guide us in Your ways that we may stay close to You. Wrap us in Your love to enable us to love those around us.

We pray for comfort for those among us who are mourning the loss of a loved one, for healing for those that are hurting or facing a medical procedure, and for understanding for those in despair. Provide for us Your peace in our lives, dear God, that we may endure and proclaim Your truth and reflect Your love daily.

We rejoice with the returning Lebanon Team, who have named themselves “The Cedar Six.” Thank You for the safety, kindness and provision You supplied this past week to them, to those they came in contact with and to their families while they were away.

Please continue to guide and direct Dr. Sheryl Vasso as she finishes up her teaching this morning at the Women’s Retreat – “Reflecting Christ ~ Living Out Authentic Faith” – at Harvey Cedars Bible Conference.

We also rejoice for the work being done in the Children’s Ministry and the Student Ministry. We ask that You will continue to be with Sophie and Pastor Jeremy and those who work in ministry alongside them. We pray each child and teen will come to know You and put their trust in You, that You would guide each one in the decisions that are before them.

Dear God, lead the people of this nation, the Unites States of America, back to Your word and Your ways. For Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts.

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the many blessings You have bestowed. Continue to provide for our daily bread, and help us walk past temptation.

We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
